We are extremely excited to announce that the Blythe Real Estate Team and ALL of our current members will be moving! Our new home will be at NEBRASKA REALTY!
This decision was not made easily since there are many fantastic real estate companies in this city. We spent countless hours in meetings with all the CEOs of the big brokerages in town. We interviewed, toured spaces and locations, learned about each brokers marketing tools, crunched numbers and more. We learned a lot about each broker. All of them had their positives and negatives. At the end of the day, we felt our team and clients would fit best at Nebraska’s largest independent brokerage, Nebraska Realty.
Here’s why we love Nebraska Realty:
Many of our team members are born and raised in Nebraska. We have connections all across the state. Nebraska Realty is local and rapidly expanding to other parts of the state. Real estate is very much a local industry.
Much of the company’s culture comes from the fact that it’s local. Here in Nebraska, we value honesty, hard work, and looking out for friends and family. We could feel that even at our first meeting with Andy Alloway, the owner.
Our Work Space
This was huge for our team. We have a medium size team with hard working full-time agents who need a good space to work, meet with clients, and collaborate with team members. We are full-service brick & mortar team. An online or cloud-based brokerage is not our style.
Nebraska Realty offered us the best space for our team. We are very excited to unveil our new office space on the 3rd floor at the main campus on 170th and Dodge which includes some private offices, conference area, lounge area and more. We will share more info on this in the near future.
This building was also great for us. There are multiple conference rooms, several lounge and kitchen areas, training rooms, and great patio space. It’s also very centrally located and near Dodge which makes it easy for us to meet clients anywhere in the metro.
In addition to our main campus, Nebraska Realty has multiple other offices in the metro (and entire state) that we can pop into and work out of when needed. There are other buildings in Midtown, Bellevue, and Lincoln. Very convenient.
Any smart business needs to look at their costs. All of the brokerages in Omaha have different pay structures, commission breakdowns, rent amounts, and expenses. We analyzed all of the numbers from the top brokers in town. While NR was not the cheapest, they were very competitive. Keeping our broker expenses lean is important because then we can afford to pump more money back into marketing for our sellers’ houses and on training, coaching, and education for our team members.
Lots of Little Stuff
We tell clients that when buying a house, you’re going to consider lots of things about the house. At the end of the day though sometimes it comes down to a feeling. For us, Nebraska Realty just felt right. It was a big enough company with enough top agents and teams to push us and make us better but small enough we could have an impact at the company and help it grow and improve as well. The colors and logo match well with our current branding so it looks great on our new business cards and signs. The weekly meetings, CE classes, and training sessions are both educational and motivating.
CBSHOME has a been like a family to us. Brent Blythe has been with them for over 31 years! We are proud to have worked with them and really appreciate all the support they have given us. We wish them the best of luck with their merger with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Ambassador Real Estate. They will do well and we really appreciate them being helpful during our transition.
